Attend to learn more about treating adolescent and young adult with addiction issues. Pat Spangler, M.S. Ed, LPC, NCC, CADC, MAATP, will discuss current trends of substance abuse in the emerging young adult population. Caryn Stoller, MD, will examine how to deal with adolescents with trauma issues and addiction.

Assessment and Treatment of ADHD and LD
in clients with substance abuse dependence

Meleta Ward, LCSW, CADC, and Jim Ward, LCSW, CAADC, CEAP, will provide participants with an understanding of ADHD and LD and how to identify these disorders and effective interventions to utilize with these clients. Participants will receive an ADHD screening tool that they can begin to use immediately.

"Cooking Up Hope" will be an interactive, culinary dining experience that entices the senses. You will have an opportunity to enjoy the cuisine of some of the Chicago western suburbs' finest chefs and engage in conversation at each chef's table as they offer tips and demonstrate their cooking talents.

"The Journey: paths of Recovery" is a weekend retreat for Rosecrance alumni and people in the recovering community. Participants will have an opportunity to deepen their recoveries through motivational teachings, group activities, Big Book studies, relaxation techniques and self-reflection times.

The temptation to return to drugs or alcohol use is greatly reduced when you have support and can talk with others who have completed treatment and who seek to sustain a lasting recovery. The Rosecrance Alumni
Support Groups assist recovering adolescent and adults in maintaining sobriety.
